About the Role
An established and growing US law firm in London is looking for an AV Technician to join their dynamic technology team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Director of Technology Services, the role involves supporting conference rooms and managing webcasting events, collaborating closely with the Information Services team at their London office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support for Microsoft Teams-enabled meeting room hardware, including microphones and cameras, covering setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Deliver support for Microsoft Teams meetings and live events, ensuring smooth operation.
- Assist internal teams and clients in the setup and execution of live, hybrid, and virtual events.
- Ensure high-quality delivery of face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid meetings, conferences, and events.
- Support external video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Webex, Skype, and similar tools.
- Efficiently plan and manage time to meet the demands of the role.
- Apply creative solutions promptly to technical challenges as they arise.
- Collect and analyze requirements from staff and clients to deliver tailored AV solutions.
- Gather and respond efficiently to feedback from stakeholders, resolving concerns swiftly.
- Offer expert advice to staff during meeting and event planning phases.
- Maintain and store all audio-visual equipment properly.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure meeting rooms and AV setups are fully operational, resolving issues personally or by coordinating with external support providers.
- Record, monitor, and manage technical issues using the IT service management system.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong customer orientation with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of AV technologies including audio, projection, video, IT infrastructure, and lighting systems.
- Experience in a similar AV role, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other video conferencing platforms.
- Self-driven, curious, and methodical in approach to work.
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and ability to collaborate effectively with other teams during problem diagnosis.
- Experience engaging confidently with senior leaders, directors, and clients.
- Background supporting high-profile events is advantageous.
Additional Details
- Competitive salary up to 44000 GBP per annum.
- Working schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
