Autonomous Vehicle Cleaner - Morning and Overnight Shift

Role Overview

Moove AV is hiring a dedicated Autonomous Vehicle Cleaner to support depot operations in Miami, Florida. This is a specialized role centered on vehicle cleaning, charging, and readiness checks for an autonomous fleet. It is similar in scope to a vehicle prep or service agent position in the rental car industry, with responsibility for ensuring each vehicle is clean, charged, and prepared for riders.

Key Duties

• Carry out both interior and exterior cleaning to the required standard, including washing, vacuuming, and detailing. Sensitive sensor areas such as cameras and lidar must be cleaned using the correct process, and training will be provided.
• Handle charging tasks by moving vehicles to and from charging stalls, connecting and disconnecting them according to the daily queue, and reporting issues such as faulty cables, stuck charging ports, or low battery levels through the proper escalation path.
• Prepare sanitization kits, disinfect vehicle interiors between rides, and respond to biohazard events such as vomit, blood, and spills in line with OSHA bloodborne pathogen procedures. Full PPE and training will be supplied.
• Update vehicle status accurately in fleet software and communicate readiness through Google Chat. Vehicles may not be released until they are marked ready, so precise logging is essential.
• Stage vehicles in the designated areas and complete handoff to the deployment team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The employer is seeking someone with experience in high-volume vehicle cleaning, such as work in rental car operations, dealership reconditioning, or professional detailing. The role also requires comfort using simple digital tools, including phone or tablet apps and chat-based communication, along with the ability to follow standard operating procedures without improvising.

Strong attention to detail is important, especially when checking for issues beyond appearance, such as dirty sensors, improperly connected cables, or batteries that are not at the required level. Candidates should be prepared to stand and move throughout the full shift, lift up to 20 lbs, and work outdoors in Miami conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain, within a partially covered lot.
