Role Overview
This mobile position is suited to an experienced automotive glazing professional who enjoys working on the road. As an Automotive Glazier & Calibration Technician, you will carry out windscreen repairs and replacements, along with ADAS recalibrations, while supporting AA members, business partners, and other customers throughout Auckland, primarily across West or South based mobile teams.
Key Duties
- Carry out windscreen replacement and repair work to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform ADAS recalibration following glass replacement jobs.
- Carefully remove trims, mouldings, and waste materials in a safe manner.
- Provide a high standard of service to members, partners, and customers.
- Keep mobile tools, stock, and equipment clean and well arranged.
- Coordinate with Operations Coordinators and Contact Centre staff to complete jobs smoothly.
- Follow each job through from initial assignment to final handover.
- Handle customer feedback in a professional and constructive way.
- Adhere to AA health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks and provide progress updates when required.
- Continue developing your capability through ongoing learning and training.
About You
You are a practical, self-motivated technician who is comfortable working independently and takes pride in doing quality work. This role suits someone who enjoys being out and about each day while combining technical know-how with a friendly, customer-first approach.
Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in automotive glazing or a comparable technical trade.
- Solid understanding of automotive systems and related processes.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service ability.
- Confidence to work autonomously in the field.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational habits.
- Flexibility around working hours and a dependable work style.
- Comfort using PCs and mobile devices.
