Automotive Detailer / Yard Hand

Role overview

Port Augusta Isuzu is looking for a hands-on, quality-focused Automotive Detailer/Yard Hand to join the team. This position combines vehicle detailing with day-to-day yard support, helping ensure every vehicle is presented to a high dealership standard while keeping the site running smoothly.

DetaiIing responsibilities

• Carry out thorough interior and exterior detailing on both new and pre-owned vehicles.
• Wash, clean, polish, vacuum and prepare vehicles for showroom display or customer delivery.
• Spot and report any issues with paintwork, interior surfaces or exterior condition when needed.
• Look after detailing tools and equipment, and keep work areas tidy, safe and well organised.
• Follow dealership processes so every vehicle meets presentation expectations.
• Coordinate with sales and service staff to help present vehicles professionally and on time.

Yard hand duties

• Move vehicles around the yard, workshop and display areas as required.
• Assist with basic cleaning, organisation and general upkeep of the yard and site.
• Support stock presentation, including placing vehicles for photography and display.
• Handle general yard tasks to help daily operations run efficiently.
• Work in line with all workplace health and safety requirements.

• Experience in detailing, yard work, labouring or cleaning is valued, but not essential.

• A current driver’s licence; a manual licence is preferred.
