Seating Solutions is part of InProduction, a larger group formed by bringing together several seating and staging businesses into a single event-production platform. Through those acquisitions, the company has become a major U.S. supplier of temporary seating, staging, structures, and scenic production for live events. It is supported by ZMC, a private equity firm focused on building value through active operational support and industry partnerships.
Role overview
The company is looking for an experienced AutoCAD Designer to join a busy team that develops creative solutions for a wide variety of live events using a substantial equipment inventory.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed, code-compliant specifications and drawings from written directions, calculations, and formula-based inputs.
- Work closely with designers, technicians, and other team members to translate ideas and information into complete drawing sets.
- Check and confirm drawings across different design and modeling file formats.
- Develop precise drawings using AutoCAD and related design software.
- Protect the reliability of CAD systems and safeguard intellectual property.
- Adjust quickly when project requirements change in a fast-moving environment.
- Use tools such as 3DS MAX and Photoshop to build visual content for sales and marketing.
- Produce both 2D and 3D drawings.
- Look for and apply new technologies that improve drafting efficiency.
- Partner with colleagues to deliver practical and effective design outcomes.
- Track work to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Take part in design review sessions.
Requirements
- A background check and drug screening are mandatory.
- Strong ability in drafting, spatial thinking, and project coordination.
- Clear communication and the ability to manage several tasks at once.
- Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD.
- Comfortable working with PCs, Microsoft Office, Windows, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- High school diploma is required; an associate degree or AutoCAD certification is preferred.
- At least 5 years of drafting experience in architectural, mechanical, construction, or event-related fields is preferred.
- Experience in entertainment or events, including live events, sporting venues, or theater, is an added advantage.
