Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled and adaptable Australian voice actor to contribute to AI and machine learning initiatives as well as wider media projects. This role involves producing polished voice recordings for different scripts, moods, and speaking approaches. The right person will bring strong vocal control, precise pronunciation, and the ability to sound natural while meeting detailed project instructions.
Responsibilities
- Capture voice scripts with crisp pronunciation, a natural style, and the right tonal fit.
- Shift between different speaking styles, emotions, and character voices based on project needs.
- Adhere to recording directions, pronunciation rules, and script-specific instructions.
- Submit clean audio files without background noise or technical defects.
- Check recordings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before sending them in.
- Work to project timelines and recording output targets.
- Raise any unclear script points, technical problems, or recording obstacles with the project team.
- Keep a professional approach and consistent delivery across all recordings.
Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in Australian English.
- Strong clarity, articulation, and pronunciation skills.
- Ability to adjust tone, speed, emotion, and delivery style to match project requirements.
- Good reading comprehension and the ability to interpret scripts accurately.
- A stable internet connection and a quiet space suitable for recording.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using online recording tools.
- Capacity to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
Nice to Have
- Experience in voice acting, voice-over work, podcasting, broadcasting, or similar audio-based roles.
- Exposure to AI, speech recognition, audiobook, gaming, or media recording projects.
- Familiarity with audio recording and editing software.
- Access to professional-grade recording gear, including a good microphone and a sound-treated space.
