Job summary
This contract role is fully remote and focuses on supporting AI training by improving the quality of English language data. The position does not require previous AI experience; the main requirement is strong Australian English expertise and the ability to produce accurate, natural-sounding language output.
What you will do
- Check machine-generated English transcripts and make corrections so the text is accurate and linguistically sound.
- Read transcript passages aloud in a clear, natural Australian English accent and record the audio.
- Work in a quiet space and deliver clean audio without needing studio-grade equipment.
- Help improve AI language data so it better reflects everyday Australian English usage and expressions.
- Share feedback and practical input with the customer team on transcription and audio instructions.
- Review written and spoken material carefully to catch mistakes, mismatches, and inconsistencies.
- Protect confidential information and follow all data security requirements while handling the work.
Skills and qualifications
- Native-level command of Australian English in both speaking and writing.
- Strong understanding of Australian pronunciation, diction, and phonetics.
- Ability to identify transcript errors quickly and make precise corrections.
- Clear voice quality and confident delivery for recording audio.
- Capacity to work independently in a quiet, distraction-free setup.
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on language quality.
- Comfort using basic laptop audio recording tools; no professional recording studio is needed.
Preferred background
- Experience in audio engineering, voice acting, voice artistry, or call center work with voice training.
- Previous involvement in transcription, annotation, or language data projects.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on accuracy and clarity.
