Audio Transcription Specialist

Overview

This remote hourly contract role is for an Audio Transcription Expert who can turn challenging audio into clean, accurate written transcripts. The assignment involves working on a wide range of content, including recordings with multiple speakers, varied accents, and different subject matters.

The position offers pay in the range of $10 to $20 per hour and requires a commitment of 10 to 40 hours each week. The work is based remotely from Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert complex audio recordings into precise written transcripts while following project instructions.
• Work with multilingual content that may include different accents, dialects, and topic areas.
• Check and refine transcripts to maintain accuracy, correct grammar, and proper context.
• Protect sensitive information and follow strict privacy and security practices.
• Coordinate with other team members to keep output consistent and high quality.
• Use transcription software and AI-based tools to improve speed and efficiency.
• Share observations about audio quality and suggest ways to improve the workflow.

Requirements

• Proven background in audio transcription, especially for multi-speaker and difficult recordings.
• Strong command of written and spoken communication.
• Fluency in English plus at least one additional language.
• Comfort with AI transcription platforms or speech-data processing tools.
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under time pressure.
• Good planning and multitasking abilities.
• Professional handling of confidential and sensitive material.
