Position Overview
The Kulturveranstaltungen des Bundes in Berlin GmbH is seeking a full-time, permanent Audio and Media Technician (m/f/d) to join the team at the House of World Cultures. This role involves managing audio and video technical requirements for diverse cultural events, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute audio engineering tasks for concerts and conferences, including sound mixing.
- Manage video technology including projections, camera operations, and signal management.
- Coordinate and implement video conferencing solutions.
- Provide event-related IT support for both PC and Mac platforms.
- Handle postproduction and media management of audio and video formats.
- Set up, dismantle, and operate audio and video technical equipment while complying with safety regulations.
- Maintain operational readiness of equipment and fulfill artistic directives.
Candidate Requirements
- Completed vocational training in event technology focusing on audio and video, or demonstrably equivalent expertise.
- Proficient knowledge of Mac and PC operating systems and network integration.
- Professional experience within the event or festival sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of contemporary audio and video technologies and relevant software.
- Strong sensitivity to the artistic demands of a cultural institution.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and safety regulations.
- Language proficiency at minimum level C1 in German and B2 in English.
