Responsibilities and Role

• Deliver accurate, complete, and clear oral interpretations between Assyrian and English, maintaining fidelity to the original message.
• Interpret in both directions, adapting language to suit medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal team members.
• Work respectfully and effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse clients.

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in Assyrian and English languages.
• Proven experience interpreting in medical, legal, and community environments.
• Formal interpreter training or relevant professional experience.
• Based in the Modesto area with valid California licensure.
• Willingness to complete necessary medical clearances, including vaccination records and background checks.
