Associate/Deputy/Assistant Director - Placements

Role Overview

Lovely Professional University is seeking experienced professionals from industry or academia who bring a strong network of corporate contacts for internship and placement initiatives for students. Candidates who have worked in a related domain before will be given preference.

Position Summary

This is a full-time, on-campus role for an Associate Director, Deputy Director, or Assistant Director in Placements. The selected professional will focus on building, nurturing, and managing relationships with both prospective and existing employers, with the goal of creating strong collaborations across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with current and potential recruiting organizations.
• Build long-term partnerships with companies across different sectors.
• Support internship and placement initiatives for students.
• Plan and implement placement strategies aligned with student aspirations and employer requirements.
• Use industry knowledge and market awareness to strengthen placement outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria

• At least 10 years of experience in core placements is required.
• A master’s degree is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Prior exposure to career counselling, recruitment, or placement functions is expected.
• Ability to network effectively and establish corporate relationships is necessary.
• Experience in a similar position within an educational institution is an added advantage.
• The candidate should be committed to student development and career advancement.
