Associate / Senior Surveyor – Asset Advisory, Restructuring and Recovery

About the Role

BTG Eddisons is looking for a motivated Associate or Senior Surveyor to join its expanding Restructuring & Valuation team based in Leeds. This role involves managing complex, high-value projects related to restructuring and property valuation across a wide range of assets such as stalled residential developments, mixed-use sites, investment properties, development land, and distressed commercial properties.

The position entails close collaboration with senior team members and key external stakeholders including lenders, insolvency practitioners, and receivers. It offers significant autonomy and accountability, allowing you to guide projects from initial instruction to successful conclusion. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage significant restructuring and valuation assignments across diverse property sectors.
• Produce comprehensive valuation reports tailored for secured lending, restructuring, insolvency, and advisory needs.
• Deliver strategic guidance on asset disposal, exit plans, and value recovery actions.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on assets facing distress or underperformance.
• Build and sustain strong partnerships with lenders, insolvency practitioners, receivers, and other relevant professionals.
• Identify and cultivate new business prospects while aiding the team's growth objectives.
• Provide mentorship and technical development support to junior staff members.
• Work closely with colleagues across BTG Eddisons to ensure optimal client results.

Candidate Profile

• MRICS qualification with substantial expertise in valuation, restructuring, advisory, or allied property fields.
• Proven track record in secured lending valuations and strategic asset assessments.
• Demonstrates strong commercial insight and confidence in advising senior-level stakeholders.
• Experienced in handling complex assignments spanning various property types.
• Excellent skills in communication, report composition, and client relationship management.
• A proactive and collaborative mindset focused on delivering practical solutions.
• A keen interest in insolvency, restructuring, and recovery work.
