Role Responsibilities

• Conduct in vivo experiments to support drug discovery and development across various disease areas.
• Develop and establish new preclinical animal disease models.
• Carry out animal behavioral tests as required.
• Coordinate activities across internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth study progress and data collection.
• Review and utilize scientific literature pertinent to projects to aid troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Communicate research outcomes to project teams and compile technical documentation.
• Maintain high experimental productivity and perform critical laboratory procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related discipline with hands-on small animal handling experience in a research environment (e.g., dosing, tissue collection), OR an Associate degree plus seven years of relevant experience.
• At least two years of significant experience with small animal handling.
• Strong record-keeping skills, proficiency in data analysis, graphing, and presentation methods.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Demonstrates creativity, innovative thinking, and persistence in troubleshooting challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• A proactive team player comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing preclinical disease models related to drug discovery.
• Competence with animal dosing and surgical techniques.

Additional Information
