Our fully remote, close-knit team delivers comprehensive research and analytical support to inform decision-making at municipal, state, and national levels.

Role Overview

The firm is seeking a full-time Associate with robust project management skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent abilities in communication, writing, and data management. The role demands strong independence as well as collaboration within a team environment. Successful candidates will gain broad exposure to behavioral health policy, programming, and management, including working directly with government leaders, community members, and advocacy organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Leads with coordinating project tasks and tracking project progress.
  • Create and manage project timelines ensuring on-time achievement of milestones.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, schedule and facilitate meetings, and produce detailed actionable notes.
  • Organize interviews and focus groups, maintain participant communication, and accurately document outcomes.
  • Act as liaison to client staff, community participants, and partner organizations involved in data collection, providing technical assistance as necessary.
  • Design, implement, and support data collection plans and processes, including data cleaning and validation.
  • Acquire data from diverse sources such as databases, surveys, and public repositories while maintaining data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Identify and escalate data irregularities promptly to the project team.
  • Develop and execute data analysis plans with thorough documentation.
  • Collaborate with DMA staff to analyze qualitative and quantitative datasets.
  • Create visual data representations including charts, maps, and tables utilizing tools like Pivot Tables and advanced Excel features.
  • Synthesize findings into narratives and graphical formats for reports and presentations.
  • Conduct detailed literature reviews and analyze regulatory documents relevant to ongoing projects.
  • Compose summaries of data insights and contribute to client recommendations.
  • Draft and revise program progress reports, funding proposals, and other project deliverables.
  • Present findings and updates internally and externally upon request.
  • Support business development activities including proposal writing, website content creation, and social media engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience conducting or facilitating focus groups, interviews, and working with qualitative data analysis software.
  • Familiarity with statistical and visualization tools such as Tableau, R, Dedoose, MailChimp, SurveyMonkey, and Access is advantageous.
  • Educational background or professional experience related to health or behavioral health policies, especially those addressing disparities, is desirable.
  • Master’s degree preferred or at least five years of relevant professional experience.
