About the Role
This role involves providing leadership over a non-complex project or sub-project incorporating both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include managing the assigned team on a day-to-day basis and ensuring delivery of project objectives related to cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction as stipulated by the Contract or Project Directive.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, manage, and take ownership of assigned project work scope, ensuring outcomes on schedule, budget, and quality.
- Provide leadership and direction to the project team, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Develop strategies to meet project directives and identify opportunities to enhance outcomes.
- Create, monitor, and update project plans, estimates, cost accounts, and schedules aligned with contractual requirements.
- Evaluate risks associated with the assigned scope.
- Lead and present at Steering Committee, Gate Reviews, Customer Reviews, and Progress Meetings.
- Oversee contract variations and manage scope changes.
- Maintain and develop proficiency with the project’s solution.
- Foster strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, safety procedures, non-discrimination laws, and duty of care requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Possess tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering, or a business-related discipline.
- Have demonstrated experience matching the competency level outlined above.
- Experienced in leading systems projects and understanding full system development lifecycles.
- Proven leadership ability within team environments to promote collaboration.
- Strong skills in liaising with internal and external customers.
- Experienced in preparing and reviewing project documentation.
- Skilled in scheduling, planning, and Cost Schedule System Reporting (CSSR) or similar Earned Value Management systems.
Eligibility
Candidates must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at baseline/NV1/NV2 level. Information such as nationality and citizenship history may be required to verify eligibility under various export control regulations, including ITAR.
