Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager experienced in design agencies for a 3-month freelance contract starting around July 27. The position requires a full-time presence with a hybrid arrangement, including three days weekly in our Bishopsgate office, London. You will lead multiple packaging and branding projects for major FMCG and food & beverage global clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of several brand and packaging design projects focused on global FMCG brands.
- Work closely with stakeholders to clarify goals, translate them into detailed project plans and creative briefs.
- Manage standalone projects by planning, budgeting, and coordinating external suppliers.
- Maintain control over schedules and budgets while motivating the project team with a solution-oriented mindset to fulfill deadlines.
- Follow established procedures and manage project timelines, escalating risks when needed.
- Support Project Directors by preparing client reports, handling weekly and ad-hoc resource allocation, and tracking imagery and typeface licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading branding projects (excluding advertising) within brand design agencies or large global enterprises.
- Strong project management expertise demonstrating financial literacy, numeracy, effective listening, assertiveness, communication skills, and organizational ability.
- Familiarity with design, creative, and production workflows.
- Capability to interpret commercial and financial factors, analyze complex issues rapidly, and recommend actions that ensure swift resolutions.
Additional Preferences
- Experience with Float, Smartsheets, and Screendragon software is advantageous but not mandatory.
