Role overview

WSP is seeking a Project Management Team Lead for its Property & Buildings group in Auckland. This role offers a leadership platform within the Auckland Projects team and combines team management, client engagement, business growth, and project leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Guide and motivate a high-performing project management team.
  • Use business development capability to win new work and strengthen current client relationships.
  • Support the national sector lead with project management strategy and planning.
  • Take the lead on bids within the project management function.
  • Oversee project direction and day-to-day management.

Candidate profile

  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Bring ideally at least 10 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Hold a current, clean driver’s licence.
  • Have Prince2, PMP, or another recognized industry certification.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record and solid technical expertise.
  • Be familiar with applicable New Zealand standards, legislation, and working practices.
  • Have experience leading, coaching, and developing a team.
