Job Overview

The Associate Product Manager for Policy Issuance plays a critical role in designing and executing test cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) based on test scenarios and system enhancements. Responsibilities include identifying and reporting defects during testing, troubleshooting and simulating production issues, and updating production systems as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test cases considering all possible scenarios by closely reviewing business requirements and existing test documentation.
  • Execute test plans and meticulously record test outcomes, sharing results with users for feedback.
  • Log defects in tracking systems and collaborate with supervisors and IT teams to resolve issues.
  • Design and analyze SQL queries to support testing activities and user requests.
  • Perform retesting following bug fixes and demonstrate new processes to users within the test environment.
  • Analyze initial post-deployment data to evaluate production movements.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues reported by users, ensuring timely rectification and IT escalation when necessary.
  • Simulate activities in test systems to verify processes and provide demonstrations to users to minimize future errors.
  • Maintain and update Desk Instruction Manuals (DIM) and Ready Reckoners on request from users, ensuring documentation reflects current processes.

Challenges

  • Meeting testing targets amidst limited availability and responsiveness of test environments.
  • Managing duplication of testing efforts due to incomplete code migration to test regions by IT.
  • Creating and updating product policies on test regions, as existing product policies may be unavailable, which can delay testing.
  • Addressing challenges due to lack of correct data in test environments for production issue simulations.
  • Handling ambiguities and unclear feedback from users regarding reported production issues and workflows.
