Job description

Role Overview

Book of the Month is on the lookout for a versatile Product Engineer who can engage across the entire product development lifecycle. This includes tasks from building front-end components to managing back-end processes such as renewals automation and creating automated agents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize Claude coding tools to develop new design components and pages, aiming to reduce the lead time from design tools like Figma to production deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with member services to enhance customer response efficiency through agent automation implementations.
  • Define and create data views for various stakeholders and perform on-demand data analyses to support decision-making.
  • Manage product features and experiments end-to-end, from initial concept and specification through development, quality assurance, deployment, and performance measurement.
  • Streamline the marketing design workflow by developing tools with Claude code or similar coding technologies to support multivariate testing on landing pages.
  • Adapt and evolve responsibilities alongside changing business requirements and as the utilization of Claude matures within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Applicants with any of these backgrounds are encouraged to apply: a degree in Computer Science; 1-2 years experience as a Front End Engineer; 1-2 years experience as a Product Manager; or 1-2 years experience as a UX/UI Designer.
  • A passion for employing diverse tools, including Claude, to address business and customer challenges.
  • Knowledge of Agentic coding environments like Claude code is advantageous.

Additional Information

The role reports directly to the Vice President of Product and involves close interaction across various business units to improve the product pipeline from specification to production.

The compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $140,000 annually, reflecting the openness to multiple experience levels.
