This position requires experience launching products at top beauty and specialty retailers such as Ulta and Olive Young. Expertise in brand positioning, market entry strategies, consumer insights, retail activation, and growth forecasting is essential.
This entrepreneurial role demands crafting U.S. marketing strategies from inception for many newly introduced brands. Close collaboration with leadership to identify growth opportunities, analyze market trends, evaluate product and brand portfolios, and steer critical marketing initiatives is required. A key responsibility includes assessing brand scalability in the U.S. market and leading efforts to ensure growth success.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate U.S. market strategies for new brand launches, including defining target consumers, positioning, pricing, messaging, and channel activation.
- Lead marketing efforts in color cosmetics while supporting expansion in skincare and additional beauty categories.
- Analyze brand health, positioning, competitive environment, and future growth prospects.
- Plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns across retail, digital, social media, influencer outreach, PR, and performance marketing channels.
- Oversee go-to-market plans and execution for product launches and retail expansions.
- Evaluate brand scalability and retailer readiness to predict long-term success in competitive markets.
- Identify growth drivers, market challenges, and operational needs for successful brand scaling.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives.
- Create launch calendars, campaign strategies, promotional plans, and retailer-specific activation programs.
- Track campaign outcomes, analyze performance data, and refine strategies based on insights.
- Advise on portfolio strategy, category growth, and investment priorities continually.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years marketing experience in beauty, wellness, CPG, or related sectors.
- Proven ability to conceive and execute product launches with major retailers like Ulta, Sephora, Olive Young, or equivalent national accounts.
- Entrepreneurial spirit suitable for fast-paced, rapidly growing environments demanding adaptability and resourcefulness.
- Broad marketing expertise across categories, with a knack for recognizing emerging trends and shifts in consumer behavior.
- Experience in scaling brands from early growth to wider retail distribution.
- Strong analytical aptitude, effectively using market data, consumer insights, category trends, and performance metrics to guide decisions.
- Adept at managing agencies, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
- Excellent project management skills enabling simultaneous handling of multiple initiatives.
- Strong communicator and presenter with experience advising senior leadership.
Preferred Experience
- Background working with rapidly expanding beauty or wellness brands.
- Direct involvement in launching and growing brands within Ulta, Sephora, Olive Young, or comparable channels.
- Leadership roles within agencies or in-house teams at notable consumer brands.
- Established network in the beauty and consumer products industry.
- Expertise forecasting category trends and spotting emerging brands and products.
Benefits
- Eligible for health, dental, vision, life insurance, and other voluntary benefits from the first day of employment.
- Immediate vesting in LG H&H’s 401(k) plan with company matching dollar-for-dollar contributions up to 6% of eligible pay.
- Company-provided life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), and disability coverage.
- Wellness incentive programs encouraging health and wellbeing.
Compensation
