Role Overview

The Assistant Brand Manager (ABM) plays a vital support role in creating and implementing category brand strategies across multiple channels to strengthen brand presence and drive category growth. This role requires collaboration with various partners such as the HQ Global Business Unit, Sales, and Learning & Development teams to ensure impeccable execution at every customer interaction point involving both existing and new products. The ABM must be enthusiastic about enhancing brand visibility by exploring new strategic approaches based on data and creativity to expand the brand's loyal audience. Joining this dynamic team means contributing to substantial expansion of LG H&H’s beauty and personal care brand footprint in the US market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in formulating and maintaining a dynamic innovation calendar covering product development timelines.
  • Utilize data, consumer insights, and product knowledge to help shape decisions on product portfolio evolution.
  • Manage brand elements from concept stage through market launch, encompassing brand concept briefs, positioning, copywriting, artwork, and competitive advantages.
  • Define product positioning, target audiences, and develop channel-specific marketing plans with clear objectives.
  • Analyze metrics including sales, profitability, inventory levels, and stock keeping units to generate actionable insights aimed at market growth and category development, supported by formal proposals.
  • Support marketing program execution from inception through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams for on-schedule product launches.
  • Track project progress and comprehend new product development (NPD) processes in detail.
  • Maintain organized tracking systems such as spreadsheets for product and project reviews.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to manage and classify vendor data, samples, specifications, costs, and quantities.
  • Drive and facilitate the NPD process across internal and external teams.
  • Contribute to creative decision-making processes related to marketing content and channel production.
  • Foster strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to align on strategies that increase brand awareness, sales, profitability, and manage inventory effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4 or more years of professional experience in Brand Management, Product Marketing, Product Development, or Innovation within the beauty, skincare, or consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Proven track record of leading full lifecycle product launches and designing go-to-market plans from initial concept through to commercialization.
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms including social media, e-commerce, analytics, and online marketing channels.
  • Previous collaboration with retail partners like ULTA and Sephora.
  • Ability to work effectively in matrix organizational structures and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and data-informed decision-making skills.
  • Insight into market trends and consumer behavior relevant to brand strategy.
  • Successful history of partnering with Research & Development, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to create innovative products, supported by compelling storytelling and execution strategies.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges between $90,000 and $105,000 annually.
