About the Role

This position is part of the Global Medical Communications and Content Solutions (MCCS) team within the Global & US Medical Communications and Content Organization. As an Associate Manager, you will be responsible for creating a variety of global medical content such as abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters and presentations, graphical abstracts, systematic literature reviews, plain language summaries, slide decks, educational materials, social media posts, infographics, videos, and other multimedia and external-facing medical communications, working under supervision and guidance from experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop diverse medical affairs content across multiple formats with significant support from senior team members.
  • Conduct research, organize, compile, interpret, and perform quality checks on technical and medical content.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams including Graphics, Compliance, Statistics to deliver aligned and compliant medical content solutions.
  • Ensure all projects are carried out within established timelines and adhere to quality and compliance standards.
  • Participate in training on relevant tools and processes, including emerging generative AI platforms, to enhance efficiency and compliance in content development.
  • Monitor project progress and address challenges with guidance from experienced colleagues.
  • Identify and develop expertise in one innovative content creation tool or skill representing the latest industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree such as MS, MRes, MPharm, PhD, PharmD, MBBS, or MD.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical medicine including exposure to medical affairs and medical compliance.
  • Proven self-management skills to take ownership of tasks while coordinating scope, quality, and timelines with senior colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to build trust and credibility with colleagues and external stakeholders across regions and cultures.
  • Experience in medical writing, academic communications, or within agency, CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology settings.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, adaptable for various audiences and compliant contexts.
  • Demonstrated teamwork capability and understanding of technology applications in medical content creation.

Preferred Expertise

  • Specialized knowledge in designated therapeutic areas.
  • Experience creating medical content with multimedia and omnichannel approaches.
  • Adaptability to rapidly adopt new digital content tools, technologies, and resources.
  • Experience working or studying in international or global settings.
