Job description
Role overview
This position sits within the Inflight Planning team under the Customer Experience Division. The role focuses on improving aircraft galley arrangements and planning inflight equipment so that operations remain safe, efficient, and service-oriented. It also supports readiness through inventory control, operational checks, and coordination across teams, while using digital tools and Gen AI to streamline work, improve insights, and support ongoing enhancements.
Key responsibilities
- Use the Galley Planning 4 Equipment Loading Plan (GP4 ELP) system to design and refine aircraft galley layouts and equipment loading plans.
- Set aside galley and storage space, evaluate new service needs, and work with the Food & Beverage team on equipment requirements and menu-related support.
- Carry out operational checks such as flight inspections and equipment fit reviews to confirm practicality, safety, and compliance.
- Review ELPs together with Cabin Crew to strengthen service flow, improve uplift efficiency, and support smoother onboard operations.
- Track and maintain inflight equipment inventory so records stay accurate and aligned with operational demand.
- Assist with system upgrades and digital projects, including GP4 user acceptance testing and process improvements powered by Gen AI.
- Study operational information such as Cabin Crew Voyage Reports and feedback to spot issues, assist with investigations, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with stakeholders across functions to address operational challenges and ensure initiatives are implemented smoothly.
Requirements
- A diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Data Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Recent diploma graduates are welcome, and candidates with prior cabin crew experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Interest in airline operations, inflight service, and inventory planning.
- Strong communication and coordination ability when dealing with multiple stakeholders.
- Comfort with technology, automation, digital tools, and newer technologies such as Gen AI.
- Ability to work with data and analytical platforms, including tools like Tableau.
- Good command of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Self-motivated, careful with details, and able to work independently in a busy environment.
