Job description

Overview

Mace brings together construction know-how and consultancy expertise to help unlock value for people and projects, while pushing the limits of what ambitious delivery can achieve. The company’s values guide how it works and the kind of professionals it looks to bring on board.

The Project

This role sits on one of the biggest programmes currently underway in Saudi Arabia. The assignment covers a major mixed-use development with sports venues, entertainment and arts components, plus the related infrastructure needed to support it.

Mace is among the delivery partners and is seeking experienced, high-performing professionals to help steer integrated teams through every stage of the programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Put safety at the centre of delivery by confidently using stop-work authority and supporting wellbeing standards.
  • Show leadership that reflects the organisation’s values, while guiding and developing more junior colleagues through coaching and mentoring.
  • Set up, maintain, and improve risk processes, including frameworks, registers, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Run risk workshops, reviews, and assessments to surface, assess, and reduce project risks.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to embed risk controls into plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality risk information, follow recognised best practice, and actively track changes in the risk profile.
  • Support the organisation’s net zero carbon goals by helping identify, manage, and reduce carbon emissions associated with project delivery.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in risk management, engineering, or project management.
  • A chartered membership or an equivalent professional certification is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience leading risk on major projects, with Middle East or Saudi Arabia exposure strongly preferred.
  • Advanced capability with risk tools, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Saudi Arabian visa, along with relevant experience on high-value projects or programmes for a project management consultancy, as required for immigration and client approval.

Values and Working Approach

Mace operates around four core principles: safety first, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunity for people to excel. The business emphasises a safe, diverse, and inclusive environment, responsibility for delivery quality and outcomes, ethical compliance, and continuous improvement.

Flexible Working

The employer is open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working arrangements where these can work within the requirements of the role.

Equal Opportunity

Mace encourages applications from candidates with a wide range of backgrounds. Applicants who do not meet every listed requirement are still invited to apply if they believe they could be the right fit for this position or another opportunity within the organisation.
