Overview of the Role

The Associate Director of Employee Well-Being will be integral in crafting and managing comprehensive well-being initiatives designed to enhance the health and satisfaction of university employees. This position focuses on promoting positive workplace behaviors through education, workshops, and wellness challenges aligned with organizational health objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams to determine project goals, schedules, and outcomes
  • Lead and oversee both student and professional staff in the development of wellness programs and marketing efforts targeting employee health improvement
  • Create and conduct educational programs, workshops, and training sessions tailored to faculty and staff needs
  • Track, report, and communicate progress on well-being programs relative to university and department goals
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and community organizations

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's degree in public health, communications, or a related field
  • At least four years of progressively responsible experience in employee wellness with demonstrated supervisory responsibilities
  • Deep understanding of public health principles and evidence-based communication strategies
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities, including media relations experience
  • Proven capacity to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments and work collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of health and wellness theories and practices
