Role overview
The role is for an Associate Consultant in cardiology at BMBHRC in Kolkata. The hospital is known for specialized cardiac care and serves patients requiring advanced heart treatment.
What you will do
- Deliver prompt cardiology consultations for patients visiting the outpatient department.
- Support cardiac care in operating theatres, day surgery areas, and other clinical settings, within the scope of approved privileges.
- Handle requests for inpatient specialist consultations as needed.
- Take part in ward rounds, help guide patient management, and oversee specialist care for admitted patients.
- Join department rounds and monitor patients assigned to your team.
- Carry out procedures that you are formally authorized to perform.
- Explain procedures and operations clearly to patients so that informed consent can be obtained.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation for patient care and communication with other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure that every patient has a clear discharge plan in place.
Candidate profile
The preferred qualification is DM, DNB, or DrNB in Cardiology. Freshers as well as candidates with up to 3 years of experience may apply.
