The Assistant Store Manager role is suited to someone who enjoys combining sales ability, business thinking, and leadership in a retail environment. This position supports a high-performing store team and contributes directly to sales results, customer satisfaction, and day-to-day operations.

What you will do

• Support the Store Manager in keeping the team focused on individual and collective performance goals, including sales and profit targets.
• Help create an environment where customers receive consistently strong service and feel well supported.
• Build the team’s product knowledge and selling capability through coaching, training, and performance evaluation.
• Take part in hiring and selecting team members.
• Carry out operational and strategic store duties as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures and help ensure they are consistently enforced.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of retail experience is required, with preference for candidates who have worked with a jeweler or another specialty retailer.
• Comfort using POS terminals, scanners, and basic computer hardware and software.
• Ability to understand instructions presented in written, spoken, visual, and scheduling formats.
• Availability to work variable shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and benefits

The base pay range is $20.00 to $23.50 per hour, plus commission on sales. Final pay is based on relevant experience and qualifications. Full-time team members are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance, as well as paid vacation and paid holidays. Additional benefits include 401(k), tuition reimbursement, DCA courses depending on role, training programs, merchandise discounts, incentive trips, and contests.
