Role summary

As Assistant Store Manager, you will report to the Store Manager and play a hands-on leadership role in day-to-day store operations. Your focus will be on coaching the team, supporting a collaborative workplace, improving store results, and helping create an excellent customer experience. This role is based at the flagship Toronto Eaton Center location.

Core duties

• Guide, encourage, and develop team members while staying visible and engaged on the sales floor.
• Ensure customers receive a high-quality shopping experience and that service standards remain a top priority.
• Track key performance indicators, spot improvement opportunities, and suggest actions that support store targets and brand expansion.
• Take part in recruiting, onboarding, training, succession planning, and performance management support.
• Oversee inventory, store procedures, and compliance while staying organized and managing multiple priorities efficiently.
• Maintain attractive visual presentation standards and arrange merchandise to help maximize sales and profitability.
• Respond quickly to day-to-day challenges with practical and creative solutions that improve store performance.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented environment and model expected dress code and workplace behavior.
• Help plan floor coverage, organize tasks, and delegate responsibilities so operations run smoothly.
• Support omnichannel activities that strengthen sales and create a seamless customer journey.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience supervising or managing a team in retail or another customer-facing setting.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and encourage the team to maintain strong service standards.
• Strong planning, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to perform well and maintain quality under pressure.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving a team toward business objectives.
• Solid sales orientation and ability to contribute to strong revenue performance.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with several responsibilities at once.
• Interest in fashion, including a good eye for style and awareness of current trends.
• Experience using POS, ERP, ATS, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg), and use a step ladder up to 3 m (10 feet).
• High school diploma required.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range for this role is $54,000 to $59,000, with the possibility of a higher rate depending on relevant experience.
