Overview
The Assistant Store Manager role blends strategic business acumen, operational expertise, creativity, and leadership skills. The assistant manager also oversees daily store functions such as opening, closing, and optimizing process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct store opening and closing procedures efficiently.
- Manage sales floor and stockroom operations to ensure smooth workflow and outstanding customer experiences.
- Handle staff scheduling, recruitment, and payroll tasks.
- Train and support non-managerial staff to develop their performance.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of products and brand identity, while actively driving sales.
- Create and maintain appealing visual merchandising displays.
- Use sales and operational reports to make informed decisions.
- Safeguard store inventory and assets through effective control measures.
- Operate point of sale systems for transactions.
