Role overview
This position is for an Assistant Project Manager to join a well-established independent construction consultancy in Dublin. The firm has a strong track record of delivering projects across Ireland and is growing because of a healthy project pipeline. The role provides exposure to challenging, high-profile work across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, education, and healthcare sectors, along with a clear route toward professional chartership and long-term career growth.
You will support senior project managers and directors in the full delivery of construction projects, helping to keep work on schedule, within budget, and aligned with expected quality standards. The role also involves active coordination with clients, design teams, and contractors.

Responsibilities
- Support projects from early feasibility and briefing stages through design, procurement, construction, and final handover.
- Assist with administering standard construction contracts such as RIAI, JCT, and GCCC, including variations, meeting records, and progress updates.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and main contractors to keep communication clear and efficient.
- Help track schedules, milestones, deliverables, budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting.
- Identify risks early, suggest mitigation measures, and carry out site visits to check quality and planning compliance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal leaders and external clients.
Requirements
- A Level 8 primary degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Between 1 and 4 years of post-graduate experience in a construction consultancy, main contracting, or project management environment in Ireland or the UK.
- Interest in, or experience with, sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, or education.
- Confidence using MS Project or similar scheduling software, along with MS Office; exposure to BIM or Revit workflows would be beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and reporting abilities.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach suited to a fast-moving environment.
- Working toward professional chartership, or a clear intention to pursue SCSI, RICS, CIOB, or APM accreditation.
