Job description

Role overview

Maple Reinders is seeking an Assistant Project Coordinator / Co-op Student to support Project Managers and Superintendents on civil construction projects. This opportunity is designed to build hands-on experience in contract administration, estimating, budget preparation, and scheduling across a range of delivery models, including Design Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management.

The assignment is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with an 8-month or 12-month term preferred. The role is based in a mix of site and office work in Mississauga, with project sites in Guelph and York Region. Because the project locations are not easily reached by public transit, a vehicle is required for site travel.

What you will support

  • Keeping contract records current and organized, including purchase order, shop drawing, submittal, and plan tracking logs.
  • Helping identify and source suppliers and sub-trades, and gathering quotations as needed.
  • Assisting with scope clarification and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on site safety in line with regulatory rules and the company’s health and safety policy.
  • Participating in site meetings and supporting the close-out of project deficiencies.
  • Monitoring supply inventory so materials arrive on time and are properly tracked.

Candidate profile

  • You are currently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary program related to Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
  • Recent graduates from one of these related programs who finished in 2026 may also be considered.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel would be considered an advantage.
