About the Role
Nanyang Technological University's Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), a part of the esteemed institution ranked among the top globally for research and experiential learning, is seeking an Assistant Professor specializing in Information Science or Knowledge Management. WKWSCI is recognized for its strong academic research legacy and commitment to mentoring emerging scholars in communication and information disciplines.
Responsibilities and Expertise Required
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high-quality research and participate actively in teaching and mentoring. Expertise is sought in one or more core areas including library science, reference and information services; digital curation; data management; knowledge management technologies; taxonomy; and ontology. Additional knowledge in applied data and text analytics or artificial intelligence is considered advantageous but not compulsory.
Qualifications and Application Details
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. The appointment offers a salary competitive with qualifications and experience, along with comprehensive fringe benefits.
