Position Overview
Shri Venkateshwara University, a private state university recognized by UGC in Uttar Pradesh, is inviting applications for the role of Assistant Professor specializing in Animal Nutrition. The university offers academic programs across multiple disciplines and adheres to UGC guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and organize practical sessions on undergraduate and postgraduate subjects such as animal nutrition, feed technology, feeding standards, and applied or clinical nutrition.
- Guide, mentor, and support students academically and professionally.
- Conduct practical exercises including feed analysis, ration balancing, and feeding trials.
- Maintain and oversee the animal nutrition laboratory and all related feed analysis equipment.
- Formulate balanced dietary plans tailored for livestock, poultry, and other animals under care.
- Develop and implement scientifically-based feeding programs aimed at enhancing animal health, growth, and productivity.
- Evaluate nutritional content of various feed ingredients and assess their impacts on different animal species.
- Monitor animal performance and adjust feed formulations as required.
- Keep abreast of emerging research and developments in the field of animal nutrition and integrate new findings into feeding practices.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks and industry best practices in feed formulation and nutritional management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry; a Master’s in Animal Nutrition is preferred.
- Possession of a Ph.D. or UGC NET qualification in the relevant subject is advantageous.
- Experience in reputed universities or educational institutions is desirable.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- A passion for animal welfare and interest in agricultural innovation.
- Capability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
