Role Overview
The Assistant Player Care Officer supports first-team players, their families, and coaching personnel by delivering exceptional welfare and lifestyle management services. This pivotal role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including managing player wellbeing, coordinating relocations, logistics, and providing seamless operational support within a dynamic, high-pressure football environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for first-team players and their families regarding off-pitch needs
- Organize international relocations, housing, schooling, banking, healthcare, visa arrangements, and local registrations
- Support partners and families in acclimatizing to the local area and club culture
- Assist with cultural integration and manage lifestyle arrangements for international players and coaching staff
- Arrange family travel and hospitality for fixtures and club occasions
- Build trusted, confidential relationships with players and their families
- Provide operational and lifestyle assistance to the First Team Head Coach and coaching personnel
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, dining, transport, and personal logistics for coaching staff
- Facilitate onboarding of new coaches and support coaching staff during fixtures, tours, and pre-season training
- Serve as a dependable interface between football operations, coaching teams, and external providers
- Manage first-team travel logistics, including flights, hotels, visa processes, security, and ground transport
- Support matchday and training ground operations in cooperation with medical, security, and performance departments
- Assist Football Administration with onboarding and compliance for coaching staff
- Oversee confidential scheduling, documentation, and operational planning
- Support onboarding and integration of new player signings during transfer windows
- Champion player welfare and provide assistance during injury, transitions, relocations, or personal challenges
- Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns as appropriate
- Coordinate wellbeing initiatives and family engagement programs
- Assist younger and newly transferred players adapting to elite football environments
- Establish and maintain relationships with agents, family offices, schools, relocation agencies, healthcare providers, and governing bodies
- Liaise professionally with Premier League officials, embassies, and football authorities
- Uphold the highest service standards befitting a world-class football club

Experience and Qualifications
- Background in player care, elite sports operations, luxury lifestyle management, or executive support
- Solid awareness of elite football environments and player lifestyle demands
- Proven experience handling complex international logistics and travel arrangements
- Capable of managing sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills complemented by outstanding organization and detail orientation
- Experience within Premier League, UEFA, or other elite sports contexts is advantageous
- Existing networks in football operations or player services preferred
- Experience supporting high-profile individuals or senior executives
- Familiarity working with prominent athletes, families, and football leadership
- Multilingual abilities, including Italian, are desirable
