Job Overview
The role focuses on managing techno-commercial procurement activities to support infrastructure and real estate projects. It involves overseeing procurement processes, vendor interactions, contract management, and strategic supplier partnerships to optimize value and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing approved purchase requests from user departments, requesting additional details when necessary to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the determination of procurement types and methods based on material/service nature, urgency, stock availability, existing contracts, value, and delivery timelines.
- Identify suitable vendors and select them through thorough evaluation processes.
- Prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs) and issue inquiries or RFPs to vendors.
- Evaluate supplier quotes and ensure pricing is reasonable and justified.
- Review related documents and RFPs for thoroughness and correctness.
- Manage communication on contract and procurement statuses, compliance, and modifications.
- Prepare contracts and obtain necessary internal approvals.
- Place purchase orders, work orders, or agreements following company guidelines.
- Follow up with vendors on tender submissions and ensure timely delivery.
- Handle post-award vendor communications regarding contractual matters and issue amendments or closure orders as needed.
- Create and coordinate SAP orders related to procurement activities.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors to secure long-term value additions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic techno-commercial initiatives.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Manage pricing strategies and lead contract negotiations to enhance profitability.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with techno-commercial projects.
- Develop and present reports and presentations on techno-commercial performance to stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements to guide decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and industry standards requirements.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts related to procurement activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) is required.
- Relevant experience ranging from 3 to 7 years in infrastructure or real estate sectors dealing with procurement of civil structures, earthwork, reinforcement, steel structures, interiors, façade, and related areas.
