Role overview

This position sits within Talent Acquisition and Recruitment for the staffing and recruitment industry. The Assistant Manager will oversee complete recruitment operations, guide a recruiter team, ensure timely hiring closures, maintain client partnerships, and help meet overall hiring goals. The role is centered on securing strong talent, streamlining hiring workflows, and lifting team output.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a recruiter team to meet hiring targets.
  • Handle complete recruitment activity for both permanent and contract staffing needs.
  • Work with clients to understand staffing requirements and recommend suitable hiring approaches.
  • Assign open positions to recruiters and track day-to-day progress.
  • Identify candidates through job boards, social channels, employee referrals, and internal talent pools.
  • Review profiles, conduct interviews, and prepare shortlists based on client expectations.
  • Arrange interviews and coordinate communication between clients and candidates.
  • Support offer release, salary discussions, and onboarding coordination in a timely manner.
  • Monitor recruitment measures such as TAT, closures, offer-to-join ratio, and recruiter productivity.
  • Build and sustain client relationships while sharing regular hiring status updates.
  • Address issues involving candidates, clients, and recruitment workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and recruitment standards.
  • Train, guide, and encourage recruiters to improve performance.
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment reports for leadership.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or another relevant field is required. An MBA or PGDM in HR is preferred.

Experience

Candidates should have 4 to 7 years of experience in staffing, recruitment, or talent acquisition. Prior team-handling exposure of 1 to 2 years is preferred. Experience in bulk hiring, lateral hiring, and client management will be an advantage.
