Role overview
Gardens by the Bay is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Sales & Marketing function with a mix of sales, operations, and administrative work for the Gardens Sales team.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to ticket sales enquiries through email and phone, and turn prospective interest into confirmed reservations.
- Prepare quotations for ticket sales and enter sales orders into the ticketing system.
- Develop and sustain strong working relationships with clients, trade partners, and vendors to encourage repeat business and help drive revenue growth.
- Organise and conduct familiarisation visits.
- Plan and carry out sales fulfilment activities, including coordination with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage contracting and procurement-related processes.
- Prepare sales and operations reports, and monitor results against sales targets.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
Working context
This position requires close coordination with external business partners, internal departments, and vendors to ensure smooth process execution and to meet audit and compliance requirements connected to the sales team.
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma is preferred, especially in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in the service, tourism, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, along with working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint; experience with data visualisation tools or ticketing platforms will be an advantage.
- Well-developed spoken and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus because the role involves liaising with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Team-oriented, proactive, creative, and resourceful.
