Job description
About Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay is a key part of Singapore’s “City in a Garden” vision. Spread across 101 hectares at Marina Bay, it consists of Bay South, Bay East, and Bay Central, and is envisioned as a global showcase of horticulture and landscape design.
Role Overview
The Bay East Project Office has been set up to plan and develop Bay East in detail, with the Founders’ Memorial as the central anchor. The role calls for a capable project leader to coordinate development works for Bay East Garden and the supporting infrastructure around it.
What You Will Be Responsible For
This position involves leading project management efforts across a wide network of consultants, contractors, agencies, and partner organisations. You will need to manage complex project details, encourage collaboration across stakeholders, and help resolve issues efficiently to keep the project moving forward.
You will also work closely with authorities to ensure the development aligns smoothly with the Founders’ Memorial and nearby infrastructure works, including the proper coordination of interfaces between construction contract packages.
Your technical background will be important in guiding the planning and delivery stages so that operational needs are fully addressed. In addition, you will help incorporate stakeholder inputs into the project, keep all development activities aligned with the Bay East vision, and maintain thorough documentation from project start to completion.
When required, you may also support and manage other development projects undertaken by Gardens by the Bay.
Qualifications
- A degree in Project Management, Architecture, or another related discipline from a recognised university is required.
- You should have at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally in large-scale, area-wide infrastructure development projects within the public sector.
- Hands-on experience in project management, especially in public-private projects and partnerships, is expected.
- Strong stakeholder management ability, along with solid technical capability, is essential.
- Good analytical thinking, communication, and presentation skills are needed.
- The ideal candidate should be self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Additional Information
This role is based in Singapore and is a contract position requiring on-site work.
