Job description
Role Purpose
The position is focused on driving steady growth in industrial gas volumes and realizing revenue from industrial clients through disciplined contract management, acquiring new customers, and increasing gas usage within the current customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle existing industrial accounts by tracking consumption against committed volumes, spotting variances, and initiating review discussions where needed.
- Assist with renewal and re-negotiation of customer contracts.
- Identify prospective industrial clients through zone-wise industrial cluster mapping.
- Find opportunities for fuel switching, such as conversion from FO, LDO, or LPG to PNG.
- Carry out technical and commercial feasibility checks for customer opportunities.
- Prepare customer proposals and support negotiation discussions with the lead.
- Work on volume expansion opportunities within current accounts, including additional lines, underused capacity, load ramp-up plans, and expansion across multi-unit operations.
- Coordinate internally for connection commissioning and supply stabilization.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and support issue resolution.
- Collaborate with operations, projects, and pricing teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Support regulatory and compliance needs related to industrial connections.
Technical and Functional Strengths
The role calls for capability in marketing and demand generation, business development and market expansion, market intelligence and competitive analysis, and channel management.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor's degree in engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in any specialization is required. An MBA or PGDM is preferred.
Candidates should have 10 to 12 years of work experience in industrial sales and marketing. Background in B2B sales and key account management is preferred. Strong exposure to industrial fuel conversion and customer relationship management is desirable. Experience in the city gas distribution sector, or in energy, utilities, or infrastructure industries, is highly preferred.
