Role Purpose

The role is responsible for ensuring that business unit financial statements and statutory reports are prepared, audited, and submitted accurately and on time, in line with the relevant accounting standards. It also covers tax compliance and return filings for group entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business unit and align finance activities with business priorities, especially on financial statement matters.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures within the required timelines.
  • Coordinate with statutory auditors for limited reviews as well as the annual audit cycle.
  • Ensure XBRL filings and other statutory submissions are completed promptly in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Support business units with financial data and other ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Maintain regular coordination with tax consultants for compliance, advisory support, representation, and litigation-related matters.
  • Prepare audit schedules in the format required for statutory liabilities, auditors, and business units, and drive closure of audit observations.

Technical Competencies

The role requires strong working knowledge of Ind AS, Schedule III, CARO reporting, income tax, GST, company law compliance, related party transaction reporting and disclosures, and SEBI LODR requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should be a Chartered Accountant or hold an MBA in Finance, with 7 to 12 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with SAP is also required.
