Job description

The Team

This position is part of Purplle’s Strategy & Media Monetisation group. The team is responsible for the company’s media and monetisation engine, including creating products that brands invest in and building the systems needed to demonstrate their impact.

About the Role

Purplle’s off-platform monetisation business enables brands to expand reach beyond the app and connect with beauty audiences through managed influencer programs, performance-led campaigns, sampling, and other emerging formats. The portfolio is still growing.

This position carries full ownership of the off-platform monetisation business end-to-end: the product set, go-to-market approach, revenue delivery, and the team that executes it.

You will spot new off-platform marketing opportunities, define the requirements needed to build them, shape how they are packaged and priced, and take them to market. You will also lead a team of influencer managers responsible for delivery. From the first brand conversation to deal closure, campaign execution, and repeat business, you will own the relationship.

This is not a campaign operations role. It is a commercial and product strategy position with complete profit-and-loss accountability.

What You Will Do

  • Set the go-to-market plan for the full off-platform monetisation portfolio, including positioning, packaging, pricing, and selling approach.
  • Spot missing pieces in the off-platform marketing stack and make the business case for new commercial levers.
  • Translate product ideas into detailed business requirements and partner with the product team to bring them to life.
  • Plan launches for new offerings, including brand segmentation, pricing logic, sales narrative, and pitch approach.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend changes to product mix, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Take ownership of revenue for off-platform brand growth programs.
  • Build and actively manage a brand pipeline through outbound prospecting, rather than relying only on inbound leads.
  • Run brand conversations from prospecting through negotiation, contract finalization, and billing.
  • Push renewals and upsells through post-campaign reviews.
  • Create brand growth programs that blend influencer marketing, performance media, sampling, and newer formats to fit brand goals, audience plans, and budgets.
  • Define the measurement framework and agree on outcome ranges at the time of closing the deal.
  • Coordinate campaign delivery across the team and internal stakeholders.
  • Present post-campaign reports comparing actual results with committed outcomes.
  • Find whitespace in Purplle’s off-platform monetisation stack using brand discussions, market cues, and platform data.
  • Estimate the business opportunity and prepare the internal case for investment.
  • Write clear business requirements for product and technology teams, including what should be built, why it is needed, and how commercial success will be measured.
  • Own go-to-market execution once a new product is ready for sale.
  • Lead a team of influencer managers.
  • Set campaign briefs, quality benchmarks, and delivery expectations for the team.
  • Handle hiring, onboarding, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Work with KAMs on brand relationships, pipeline development, and onboarding dependencies.
  • Coordinate with marketing and product teams on requirements and timelines.
  • Partner with analytics teams on measurement design and campaign reporting.
  • Align with the in-app media team so off-platform and on-platform placements are coordinated before launch.
  • Maintain relationships with brand KAMs, category managers, and, where needed, senior brand leadership.
  • Manage brand-side approvals and internal dependencies.
  • Present proposals and campaign readouts to senior stakeholders on the brand side.

What You Will Bring

You should bring 3 to 5 years of experience across digital marketing, influencer marketing, demand generation, media monetisation, or a mix of these areas. The role expects ownership of a revenue or pipeline target, not only post-sale execution. You should also have managed a team with responsibility for quality and performance, and have experience working across functions without direct authority. Exposure to product development or go-to-market work for new commercial products will be a strong advantage.

Skills and Knowledge

You’ll need strong practical knowledge of influencer marketing, including creator selection, briefing, amplification, and measurement. A good understanding of performance marketing channels such as Meta and Google, along with attribution, is important. You should be able to turn an idea into a business requirement that product teams can implement, build a commercial proposal, and present it confidently to brand marketing or category teams. Comfort working with platform and campaign data, along with clear written and verbal communication for both internal and brand-facing audiences, is essential.

What Will Help You Stand Out

Experience in a marketplace, platform, or media business will be an advantage. So will exposure to D2C or FMCG brand teams, especially if you understand how brand budgets are allocated and what brand managers are measured on. Prior success in launching a new commercial product, rather than only selling an existing one, and experience in proactively building a pipeline will also make you stand out.

Location

This role is based in Mumbai.
