Job description
Position summary
This role is focused on the responsible and ethical promotion of infant nutrition products to medical and paramedical professionals within the assigned area. The position requires sharing clear, accurate guidance on the products, including their features, benefits, and suitable use in situations where mothers are unable to breastfeed or decide not to breastfeed. All activities must follow the relevant nutrition guidelines, the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes, Nestlé’s internal instructions, and applicable local regulations.
Role overview
The job involves building informed relationships with healthcare contacts, supporting scientific and educational discussions, and ensuring that product communication remains compliant and evidence-based. The role also includes tracking market activity and maintaining detailed records of field interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Represent Nestlé’s position that breastfeeding is the preferred feeding option for infants and should be encouraged over other alternatives whenever possible.
- Share dependable information on infant nutrition and infant-feeding practices with medical and paramedical professionals based on their areas of interest and day-to-day practice needs.
- Help organize and support product knowledge sessions, nutrition talks, scientific meetings, sponsorship-related meetings, and guest speaker visits.
- Observe competitor activity in the field and report updates such as new products, messaging approaches, and other relevant market moves to the Medical Field Manager.
- Keep accurate logs, registers, and documentation for all correspondence, visits, and actions taken during daily work.
- Build and maintain a territory contact database, including prioritizing contacts by relevance and importance and completing call records regularly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Medicine, Nutrition, or Biology.
- Previous experience working as a Medical Delegate is preferred.
