Assistant Manager - Domino's Palmdale Location

Job Overview

This role involves managing daily operational tasks in a Domino's pizza store located in Palmdale, CA, including equipment operation, ingredient management, customer order processing, delivery duties, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment efficiently.
• Transfer stock from delivery to storage, work areas, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare food products following standards.
• Handle inbound telephone orders accurately.
• Manage inventory and related paperwork.
• Conduct daily cleaning of equipment and store premises.
• Deliver products by car and to customers' doors; distribute flyers and door hangers.

Requirements & Skills

• Possession of valid driver's license with a safe driving history meeting company criteria.
• Access to an insured vehicle for delivery purposes.
• Must successfully pass a background check and have flexible, open availability.
• Effective communication skills for understanding and issuing written instructions and verbal interactions with customers and colleagues.
• Capability to train and supervise team members.
• Proficiency in arithmetic operations for handling transactions and cost control.
• Familiarity with computer or touchscreen order entry systems.
• Strong navigational abilities to read maps and locate delivery addresses within designated areas, including dealing with various terrain and multi-level buildings.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperature extremes within store environments.
• Must manage odors, dust, cramped quarters, hot tools, sharp edges, and moving machinery safely.
• Essential sensory functions include telephone communication, vision at near and mid-range, and differentiation between temperature sensations.
• Ability to stand for most tasks, walk short distances frequently, and navigate stairs during deliveries.
• Capability to lift and carry heavy items, including ingredient cases up to 50 pounds and trays of pizza dough around 12 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull dollies loaded with trays requiring moderate force.
• Occasional climbing of ladders or stairs for maintenance tasks.
• Repetitive reaching, bending, crouching, and precise hand usage throughout shift.
