Job description
Role Overview
This position is for an Assistant Manager in Cell Production at Mundra, Gujarat. The role focuses on running shift operations safely, maintaining output, improving process discipline, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support manufacturing performance.
Safety and Compliance
- Keep shift activities aligned with all safety rules and regulatory standards by enforcing procedures, carrying out safety inspections, delivering training, and resolving any compliance or safety concerns without delay.
Production Management
- Track and control production flow to improve efficiency and ensure output consistently meets or exceeds the planned target.
IMS and Shopfloor Discipline
- Apply 5S, Kaizen, and Poka Yoke practices to strengthen safety and operational control, and make sure daily checks and machine readiness are completed according to SOPs.
Quality Assurance and Improvement
- Drive QCC activities and cost-reduction initiatives that support operational improvement, while monitoring product quality against required specifications.
Documentation and Reporting
- Gather production information, study trends, and compile MIS reports to provide management with clear operational insights.
Training and Team Management
- Coach and supervise operators, while encouraging safe work practices across the shop floor.
Key Stakeholders
Internal: Cluster Managers in Cell Production, technicians and operators in Cell Production, and Quality Control Inspectors.
External: Equipment Suppliers and Maintenance Contractors.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a BE/B.Tech degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical engineering. The preferred qualification is BE/B.Tech.
Experience
A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required in semiconductor or solar manufacturing. Exposure to wet chemical processing and equipment operation, or experience in other PCB manufacturing environments, is expected.
