Role Overview
The Assistant Manager in Business HR is responsible for executing HR initiatives, policies, and processes encompassing recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development, and talent management aimed at improving business outcomes. This position involves operational responsibilities with a direct influence on achieving business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate talent review and calibration meetings with business leadership teams.
- Develop Annual Operating Plans (AOP) for sub-functions within business units and create quarterly projections considering business requirements, anticipated attrition, and location changes.
- Monitor compliance with manpower budgets and implement corrective measures when deviations occur.
- Lead the rollout of Employee Satisfaction (ESAT) initiatives within the business to enhance employee experience.
- Manage implementation of HR projects relating to talent management, diversity, retention, attrition control, and other workplace initiatives.
- Initiate and oversee HR projects, tracking their progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Analyze data on employee engagement, attrition rates, headcounts, and related metrics to inform HR strategies within the organization.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) to support the deployment of talent management practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess an MBA or postgraduate degree specializing in Human Resources.
- Hold between five to seven years of professional experience in HR functions.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of business operations and requirements.
- Proficient in utilizing HR technologies and analytical tools for data-driven solutions.
- Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capability to design and present business and technical presentations effectively.
- Experience in gathering and interpreting customer business needs.
