Job description
Role and Responsibilities
- Meet assigned sales targets specifically for the Andhra Pradesh region.
- Identify and develop fresh business prospects within the non-oil and gas industrial sector.
- Establish and nurture relationships with industrial end users, OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, and project clients.
- Drive enquiry generation by visiting customers, developing the market, leveraging references, and using existing customer networks.
- Make regular customer visits to key industrial hubs including Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and other locations across Andhra Pradesh.
- Understand customers' needs thoroughly and collaborate with technical teams for proper valve product selection.
- Draft and present technically and commercially sound proposals and actively pursue order conversions.
- Lead technical and commercial negotiations with customers, consultants, and EPC contractors.
- Ensure effective follow-up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, and track order completion.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, Purchasing, and Dispatch departments to guarantee timely fulfillment of orders.
- Spot new industries, clients, projects, and applications where valve products can be implemented.
- Keep an eye on competitors’ actions, market movements, pricing trends, and upcoming projects.
- Maintain detailed reports on customer visits, enquiry progress, sales forecasts, and management information systems.
- Ensure prompt collection of dues and assist in resolving customer-related issues.
- Be prepared to travel widely across Andhra Pradesh as required by the role.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in sales of industrial valves is desirable.
- Strong familiarity with non-oil and gas industrial clientele.
- Work experience within Andhra Pradesh, especially in Visakhapatnam or Vijayawada, is advantageous.
- Proven skills in managing customer relationships and business development.
- Good understanding of both technical and commercial aspects.
- Effective negotiation skills paired with excellent communication abilities.
- Readiness to undertake extensive travel across the state.
- Experience engaging with OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and industrial end users is preferred.
