Job description
Role Overview
Maynooth University’s Applied Social Studies department is hiring an Assistant Lecturer in Community Work, or a candidate with dual qualification in Community Work and Youth Work. The successful applicant should bring a strong academic profile, including evidence of teaching, research, and publication that is appropriate for their career stage, along with relevant professional experience in the field.
Teaching and Academic Duties
The appointee will contribute significantly to the department’s teaching activities across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The role also includes supervising Master’s students and supporting the wider teaching agenda within the department.
Salary and Pay Arrangements
The position is offered on the Assistant Lecturer (2026) salary scale at €43,025, point 1. Pay will follow public sector remuneration rules.
