The role is based in Logan Reserve, Queensland, Australia and is offered as a full-time, on-site opportunity. A 4-day work week may be available, subject to personal needs and operational requirements.
Roster
The planned roster for this role is:
- Monday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
What the role involves
Assistant Department Managers support the daily running of their department while working closely with the broader store team. The position combines customer service, team support, operational awareness and an early leadership development path.
You will be supported through the Store Leadership Pathway, which is intended to build foundational leadership capability and department knowledge for future growth.
Key responsibilities
- Help keep the department operating smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
- Work with the wider store team to deliver a strong customer shopping experience.
- Model customer-first behaviours based on Everyday ACTs: Acknowledge, Care and Thank.
- Follow correct in-store procedures and place safety at the centre of all work for both team members and customers.
- Learn department operations so you can provide reliable support to the team.
- Collaborate effectively with others to achieve strong outcomes.
- Develop your leadership style and prepare for future leadership responsibilities.
- Support work across stores where needed to contribute to a better overall customer experience.
