Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Director of Front Office to support the Director of Front Office in managing smooth operations. The role oversees Front Office, Guest Services, Bell Services, PBX, and Concierge departments, focusing on delivering excellent guest experiences while optimizing room revenue and occupancy. Experience working within a unionized hotel environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist and report to the Director of Front Office on daily operations.
- Own the guest experience journey to ensure it reflects the unique Generator brand.
- Complete FLSD training and pass the on-site property assessment.
- Consistently enhance performance standards to increase guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that Generator’s social spaces represent the brand's culture effectively.
- Maintain onsite presence ensuring responsible leadership at all times.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a front-of-house team aligned with Generator’s values.
- Keep the team informed and updated on local, national, and international hospitality trends.
- Communicate goals clearly to motivate and engage team members.
- Ensure full compliance with union agreements, local laws, and regulations relevant to the department.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Candidate Profile
- Dedicated to hospitality and knowledgeable about the youth travel market.
- Committed to delivering superior customer service.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in coaching and developing staff.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Experience in a unionized hotel setting.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced workplace and flexible to meet business needs.
Experience and Skills Required
- Hospitality industry background with similar leadership roles preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ customer service experience, ideally within a hotel.
- Proficiency with at least one Property Management System.
