Location

Generator Dublin is located in the trendy Smithfield neighborhood near the Jameson Distillery and close to Temple Bar. The hostel features open social areas, a café, and a bar, decorated with reclaimed wood, exposed brick, and original stonework offering an industrial yet inviting atmosphere. Dublin itself offers a vibrant cultural scene, with lively pubs, Georgian terraces, and friendly locals.

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Food & Beverage Supervisor or Manager.
• Work within one department—Bar, Café, or Kitchen—with potential to cross-train or transfer based on skills and business needs.
• Possess strong knowledge and experience in quality coffee and food preparation, with creativity to provide unique offerings to guests.
• Take full responsibility for the customer experience, ensuring it is distinctive and memorable.
• Respond promptly and positively to all guest inquiries and requests, maintaining a proactive attitude.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies including Fire Safety, Health & Safety, and Food Hygiene protocols.
• Manage cash handling duties accurately when on shift.
• Engage as part of a motivated team who share Generator’s values and culture.
• Build rapport with customers, knowing them as well as friends.

• Outstanding integrity and reliability.
• Enthusiast for quality coffee, craft beers, and excellent cuisine.
• Ability to manage continental breakfast service and transition seamlessly to à la carte café offerings for diverse customers.
• Remaining composed and efficient under pressure.
• Commercially minded with a strong drive to enhance revenue.
• Knowledgeable about stock control and cost minimization.
• Creative, innovative, and digitally proficient.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; genuinely sociable and guest-focused.
• Prepared to undertake hands-on tasks wherever needed.
• Flexible availability to work as required.
• Legal eligibility to work within the European Union is mandatory.
